CHURCHES

Spirituality, and Christianity in particular, has always played a part in my life. I spent my childhood and early teen years in various church choirs. I was a boy soprano until my voice broke when I turned thirteen. Although a high baritone, I always found it hard finding the right part to sing in choirs after that, so I stopped. Thereafter I focused on developing my voice to sing as a solo act. My dream was to become a pop singer, but, like many other dreams, that never materialized. As stated elsewhere, I became a born-again Christian in 1973 and began singing as a ministry to various denominational congregations and coffee houses until 1987 when I became disillusioned with the evangelical movement. The following ten years, I drifted from various churches trying to find some meaning, but eventually stopped looking.
