AND I HELD MY HANDS OUT TO JESUS

I had waited for so long
Nearly twenty-seven years
But, at last, my pride I quelled
Rid myself of all my fear
And I held my hands to Jesus
Yes, he took them in his own
Now, I know there's a crown of glory
And a grace-filled, silver throne

I would always try to shun
Christianity and the Lord
But, I knew the time would come
When I'd have to believe the Word
And I held my hands to Jesus
Yes, he poured his love on me
I'm so happy that the tears flow down
Cause I know he died for me
