CHAMBERS OF DECAY

How many years have you lain
Here since the day you were slain
In the chambers of decay you lie
With its vault laid bare to the sky

And from Life you've been forced to abstain
For your future has been foreordained
In the chambers of decay you sleep
And if you were awake, I'm sure you would weep

For only dead men sleep
The sleep of ages far untold
And only dead men wish
The wish of resurrected souls

What is your choice of a life
Son, brother, mother, or wife
In the chambers of decay you lie
As your soul is lifted to the sky
