Child of ocean, daughter of storm
Are you cold, or are you warm
Child of ocean, daughter of storm
What's your mind, and what's your form

Born upon the stormy waves of the sun-burnt sea
There a child was born to them
Child of storm and sea

Child of ocean, daughter of storm
Are you cold, or are you warm
Child of ocean, daughter of storm
What's your mind, and what's your form

Carried on the restless waves to a distant shore
Found there by a fisherman
And his wife, Lenore

Child of ocean, daughter of storm
Are you cold, or are you warm
Child of ocean, daughter of storm
What's your mind, and what's your form

As she grew, her beauty grew, dazzling every man
Child of ocean, child of sea
On the beach, she ran

Child of ocean, daughter of storm
Are you cold, or are you warm
Child of ocean, daughter of storm
What's your mind, and what's your form

Then, this girl returned to sea, she was unbetrothed
So her Mother took her in
To her, now, declothed
