I HOPE YOU'RE GLAD

I sat upon my chair
I read your letter there
In crypted words, you said goodbye
I wish you well; I didn't cry

I had known for some time
Perhaps it was a crime
That you didn't tell me before
But, now, I'm walking out the door

And I say, thanks for the memories
Thanks for the love you gave to me
Thanks for the help you offered me
I hope you're glad you knew me
