I LOVE A MAIDEN FAIR

I love a maiden fair
Blue eyes and golden hair in my hand

She is the sweetest maid
We ever promenade in this land

I love a maiden fair
And she's so debonair to my heart

She sets my heart afire
And plays upon her lyre, tunes impart

I love a maiden fair
Her love she'll now prepare for my own

And now, her love's divine
And for her, there's a shrine and a throne

I love a maiden fair
She's given me an heir to my life

And though she did beguile
I loved her still, erstwhile, as my wife
