Once upon a time in the land of Zolenhyde
There dwelt a maid who--
Lost this day in the Martian sands--
Sat by a riverside

This Martian maid was fair to see
Her hair was silver-blue
And, soon, all men would recognize
Her golden eyes, so wise

She peered into the water, there
And soon began to sing
Of kings and princes of far lands
And hot, red sands in strands

This singer would linger
In the winds of Fahrinds
That city, so pretty, on Mars

There she stayed so alone
Wishing she could go home
But no prince would prance to save her
So she rotted to the bone
