My mind -- it reels with sights and sounds
Of never-ending torture
And in the darkness, hands grope out
To steal my love -- I miss her

And cobwebs fill the starless sky
And darkens any light beams
And darkness covers all my selves
Within the realms of night-dreams

I wake up screaming in my bed
The sheets are wet with water
And salt is in my mouth and eyes
While through the dark I sought her

And then behold a pair of eyes
That glow with incandescence
And all my hopes of saving her
Are gone within my essence
