ONE NE'ER CAN TELL

One ne'er can tell what the future may bring
One ne'er can tell what the new bells ring
If we glance through Time
Take a glance so slow
We see things before us
Things we should not know
For what the future may tell
Man must ne'er understand
Before the future unfolds
He must learn to hold his hand
Like his forefathers did
So many years ago

One ne'er can tell what may lie within her breast
One ne'er can tell with what man she'll take her rest
For, if we glance through Time
To a time when Man won't be
We'll observe the sights that we
The World must never see
For what the future may bring
Man must wait until it comes
And when it arrives
Man must face it, must not run
For he shall never escape
From what shall come to be

One ne'er can tell what may lie within the brain
One ne'er can tell what memory there has lain
For, if we glance through Time
To a place where Man shall lie
Well see the things from which
Man will hope to die
For what the future may show
Man must never contemplate
For what may be
Man can wait, and yet, create
For he will reach the time
When he will nevermore be
