I must try to explain
And be sweet and humane
How I found out her name
Sharane

I had hunted in vain
Through galaxies twain
And I'm staking my claim
For Sharane

She's a princess-to-reign
As the queen she would deign
To reveal her true name
Sharane

Though I've heard some complain
How she wandered through rain
But, I'll still make my claim
For Sharane

So, in my aeroplane
Will I brave hurricanes
For the one who is named
Sharane

And, I know I would gain
All her anger and pain
If she knew I would shame
Sharane

Song title inspired by a character in Abraham Merritt's novel
