TEMPLE

On a hill beneath the sky
Is a temple built up high
And the people come to pray
Just one hour everyday

But the temple is no structure
That can easily be seen
For, it's just within the mind
Ethereal and serene
For the body is the temple
Where one prays to God Supreme

On a hill beneath the sky
Is a temple built up high
And the people come to pray
Just one hour everyday

And the temple is no building
Within which one may dwell
For only in the mind
Is heaven and hell
And the body is the temple
Where never chimes death's knell

On a hill beneath the sky
Is a temple built up high
And the people come to pray
Just one hour everyday

And the temple is no dwelling
Within which you may live
For this is the place
Where men and women both can give
And the body is the temple
Where all the spirits live
