WEIRD, HALF-HUMAN CRIES

As we floated through the reaches of deep space
We approached a place where Man had never trod
And as we lighted upon this land
There reached our ears and touched our hand
A queersome, most strange, odd sound

Weird half-human cries
Reached our ears and touched our hand
From this land so barren
That seemed to hold no life

As we trampled through this dead world of deep space
We stopped before a temple, and therein did we tread
And as we stepped across the door
The queersome sound came, then, once more
This queersome, most strange, odd sound

Weird half-human cries
And as we stepped across the door
From this land so barren
That seemed to hold no life

And we searched through the temple on this barren world
Then, before our eyes, we saw them -- creatures three
These beings had no face, no name
And yet, these things were all the same
Blasted humans lost for eternity
