We say we love You, Lord
And yet, we turn our brother away
Saying, "Go on home, I've no time for you today"

We say we praise You, Lord
And yet, we turn our faces around
When the troubles come and the walls seem to tumble on down

We say we believe in Your Word
But when a need is heard
We turn our hearts to stone
And leave the hurting man sitting alone

We say we need You, Lord
Yes, we'll love You with heart, soul, and mind
But, when we have it good, how that promise is so hard to find

Whatsoever is true
Honest, just, pure, lovely, good report
We're to think on these things, but we pick everybody apart

We say we believe in Your Blood
We say we believe in the Word
We say we believe on Your Name
But, everyday it's just the same

We'll say Lord, Lord
Look at the good things that we've done
He'll say, "Depart from Me, I never knew you; you'd better run"
