Wizard of Vasuda is the first in a series of tales translated from what I have called The Scrolls of Solomon Magus. This story takes place some five thousand years ago in the Mediterranean and Middle East. Shipwrecked and orphaned as a boy on the island of Ithamar, Solomon the Strange becomes apprenticed to a sorceress named Narmada Magus. Over the next several years, she teaches him not only the arts of magic, but also the arts of love. As a young man, Solomon leaves the island and experiences both supernatural and amorous adventures in his quest to understand his world and its peoples.
